Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendras with Internet connectivity and e-mitra service facilities will start functioning at the 9,168 village panchayats and 248 panchayat samitis in Rajasthan from this year's Independence Day. These centres will provide multiple services to villagers through the information technology applications.

State Education Minister Bhanwarlal Meghwal said in Jodhpur on Sunday that the State Government would provide Rs.10 lakh each for establishment of the centres and equip them with the latest IT gadgets for providing essential services to the citizens.

Mr. Meghwal said the State Government's decision to introduce the NCERT syllabus in all schools would improve the standard of education, while the Education Department would shortly carry out unification of schools and rationalisation of teachers.
