“An infiltration bid was foiled by the troops in Uri sector in the wee hours. So far, three militants have been killed and the operation is still in progress,” Defence spokesperson Lt. Col. J.S. Brar told PTI .

The infiltration of militants from across the Line of Control (LoC) has been on the rise recently as the Pakistani handlers of the ultras are desperate to push in as many militants as possible before the onset of winter in Kashmir.
