In a first, Goa Governor Mridula Sinha will host the Tulsi Vivah ceremony at the Raj Bhavan in Dona Paula on Wednesday.

The ceremony will be led by a group of women priests from Tapobhumi Sampraday at Kundaim Ponda in Central Goa. The Governor will perform the kanyadan or giving Tulsi’s hand in marriage to Lord Vishnu.

The State Department of Information and Publicity, in a press release, said, “The marriage symbolises oneness of the embodied soul and God.”
