The lawyer of Sarabjit Singh, an Indian national who is on death row in Pakistan, said on Tuesday that there were some important developments in the case in the past six months, and he was hopeful of his client’s release.

“Though our mercy petition is pending with the President [Asif Ali Zardari], there were developments in the past six months which are positive,” Awais Sheikh told reporters here.
