The State Government has decided to send a recommendation to the Centre in this respect, the Legislative Assembly was informed on Friday night.

A committee of elected representatives and experts will be formed to discuss the issue and make a recommendation to the Centre, Minister of State for Home Ramesh Bagwe said.

The announcement came while replying to a debate in the House on the non-official bill to bring transparency and curb corruption in the State administration.

The bill was moved by Sudhir Mungantiwar (BJP).

Mr. Mungantiwar wondered why civil servants should be an exception when it is mandatory for elected representatives to disclose their assets.
