In the face of poll boycott call by the Maoists, Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has appealed to the electorate to come out in large number to cast their votes in the Jharkhand Assembly elections.

Local television networks have been showing Dhoni’s appeal since November 21 for the five-phase polling in the 82-member State Assembly.

The 20-second footage will continue to be shown till the last phase of polling on December 18.

Dhoni, however, would miss the voting himself as he is busy leading the Indian team in the second cricket Test against Sri Lanka in Kanpur.
