Huge haul of gelatin sticks in Purulia district

Days after the blast in West Bengal’s Bardhaman district where two persons died, the police seized a large quantity of gelatine sticks and detonators from Raghunathpur area in Purulia district on Saturday.

Two persons have been detained.

“Acting on a tip off we intercepted a vehicle and seized 2,700 gelatine sticks and 11,000 detonators,” Purulia Superintendent of Police S. K. Neelakantam told The Hindu .
