Homage paid to Indira Gandhi

Homage was paid to late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her birth anniversary by the leaders of various political parties, including the Congress, social and voluntary organisations at a number of functions organised in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on Thursday.

The leaders asked the people not to forget the sacrifice and services of Indira Gandhi as she was the “only great leader” who had maintained the unity and integrity of the Country.

On the occasion at several places in the region ‘quami Ekta’ week was inaugurated by the political leaders and others where functions were held in the memory of the Indira Gandhi.

Reports of homage paid to Indira Gandhi on her birth anniversary have been received from party headquarters of Congress units of Punjab, Haryana and Union Territory of Chandigarh.
