A Hizbul Mujahideen militant was arrested and some ammunition recovered from him in Baramula district of north Kashmir, a defence spokesman said on Wednesday.
On a specific intelligence input, security forces launched a search operation in village Momus in the district on Tuesday and apprehended Bilal Ahmed Bhat, the spokesman said.
An AK-47 rifle, a magazine and 20 rounds of ammunition were recovered from him. He is a resident of village Bhatpora in Kunzar area of Baramulla.
