Hindu Yuva Vahini leader booked

A case has been registered against the office-bearers of Hindu Yuva Vahini on a complaint filed by Aligarh Muslim University authorities, after the right wing outfit described the varsity as a “nursery of terror”.

Additional District Magistrate Awdhesh Tiwari said that a case was registered against the state president of the Hindu Yuva Vahini and three others under various sections of the IPC yesterday for hurting “religious sentiments” and posing threat to public peace. He said that the case had been registered on an official complaint by the Aligarh Muslim University authorities charging the Vahini leaders of “deliberately issuing communal statements designed to create unrest amongst AMU students“.

AMU spokesperson Rahat Abrar, alleged that vahini leaders had described AMU as a “nursery of terror” at a press conference here.- PTI
