Haryana’s new industrial policy to focus on small units: Khattar

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Sunday that it would soon announce a new industrial policy which would focus on development of micro, small and medium industry (MSME).

Addressing the ‘Vishaal Laghu Udyahmi Sammelan’ organised by Laghu Udyog Bharati here, Mr. Khattar said: “Haryana is an agrarian state where land holding is shrinking and farmers are approaching towards small industries. The state government will promote agro-based industries in a big way”.

Lauding the importance of MSME, he said industries have a significant contribution to the country’s GDP, employment generation and big industries could not sustain without MSME. -PTI
