Faced with the allegation that Haryana government was intolerant towards some of its upright officers, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Saturday said the State was not biased against anyone and followed a system of “reward and punishment.”
Mr. Hooda was addressing a press conference here a day after President Pranab Mukherjee quashed a departmental charge sheet filed by his government against whistle-blower Sanjiv Chaturvedi, an IFS officer.
When asked about the matter, Mr. Hooda said: “These are administrative matters.” Asked if the government was intolerant towards officers like Mr. Chaturvedi, and if he was charge-sheeted because he had dared to blow the lid off alleged forest scams Mr. Hooda said: “As far as Haryana government is concerned, it doesn’t work with any bias.”
“Whoever does good work, I reward him, whoever doesn’t do good work, I punish him, what is there [what is wrong in that].”
