Goa police rescue six boys

April 26, 2015 12:28 am | Updated 12:28 am IST - PANAJI:

Police rescued six boys aged between nine and 11 from the “care” of a U.K. national, Timothy Geddes, on the suspicion of a case of a paedophilia.

All the boys are from Kolhapur.

The boys were rescued by the police with the help of Anyay Rahit Zindagi, a non-government organisation.

The boys were earlier living in ‘My Father’s House’, a welfare home for disadvantaged and HIV positive children in Kolhapur. The home was run by Emmanuel Gaikwad and a Korean missionary, Ekuk Kim (also called David).

Of the six boys, two are HIV positive.

Panaji police are trying to find out how the boys came under the custody of Geddes in Goa from July 2014. Mr. Gaikwad has been called for interrogation.
