The Cyber Cell of the Crime Branch of Goa police on Monday interrogated shipping diploma-holder Devu Chodankar over his role in the >anti-Modi facebook post .
Superintendent of Police in charge of Crime Branch Karthik Kashyap said that Mr. Chodankar was interrogated from 11 am on Monday in two sessions with a lunch break in the afternoon.
Officials at the Cyber Cell declined to give details of the interrogation, except that it was revealed that some experts in the cyber-crime had been brought to interrogate the accused. As the quizzing continued till 4 p.m. in the evening, sources in the Crime Branch did not rule of possibility of his being summoned again for further interrogation. The sources in Crime Branch, however, ruled out the possibility of Mr. Chodankar’s arrest, ‘atleast at this stage.”
Already, a trial court in Panaji has rejected an anticipatory bail plea of Mr. Chodankar even as the police sought his custodial interrogation in their plea opposing the bail.
