The Kolkata unit of Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM) on Saturday organised a memorial meeting to pay homage to 75 CRPF jawans killed in the Maoist attack at Dantewada in Chhatisgarh recently.

Asha Gurung, wife of GJM President Bimal Gurung, who is chief of Morcha’s women wing, Gorkha Nari Morcha, lit candles and paid tribute to the slain CRPF personnel.

“We are all Indians. That is why we have come here in memory of the jawans who had laid down their lives to ensure our safety,” she said.

She also said “our movement for Gorkhaland is within framework of Indian Constitution and we will achieve Gorkhaland.”
