Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Tuesday described as “sweet jokes” the comments he made against seven Union Ministers from Bihar earlier. “Let bygones be bygones,” he said, while releasing the ninth annual report card of his government.

“I never meant it in a literal sense that they [the seven Union Ministers] would not be allowed to enter Bihar unless they helped the State get its due,” Mr. Manjhi said.

He urged the Centre to give Bihar its due — special status, package and other assistance promised earlier. Mr. Manjhi said though his tenure had been short, he was satisfied with the works done for the development of the State.
