Girls outshine boys in U.P. board examinations

Tejaswi Devi tops Class 10, while top rank in Class 12 went to Priyanshi Tiwari

Girls outperformed boys in this year’s Class 10 and Class 12 Uttar Pradesh board examinations, for which results were declared on Friday. In Class 10, 86.50% girls cleared the exam against 76.75% boys, while in Class 12, girls did even better with 88.80% pass rate, compared to 77.16% among boys. The toppers in each category were also girls. Tejaswi Devi topped the Class 10 examinations while the top rank in Class 12 was taken by Priyanshi Tiwari.
