Gear up for India Beach Fashion Week

Fashion designer Anupamaa Dayal is scheduled to open the three-day festival

Panaji: A number of new-age, young designers will debut on the ramp to display their fashion line over the three-day India Beach Fashion Week (IBFW) and Festival 2017, which starts from Monday.

Buyers, celebrities, and high net-worth individuals (HNIs) from across the globe will participate in the fourth season of the festival. The IBFW will also set the stage for the most awaited resort and bridal couture for the Spring Summer Surprise.

Fashion designer Anupamaa Dayal is scheduled to open the festival. The prime focus would be men’s fashion, destination bridal couture and the grand finale. Exclusive collections from top designers like Arjun Khanna will also be showcased at the festival. Mr. Khanna will be leading the finale show on the first day. His collection will focus on exclusive men’s wear at an offsite location.

Day two will feature exquisite destination bridal wear. Designers Shyamal & Bhumika would present the ultimate destination bride at the finale. Day three will have a mix of couture with a finale show by Suneet Verma who will present the resort bride collection.

Pallav Ojha, Chief Innovator & Co Founder at Beach Worldwide, said, “IBFW is Asia’s largest resort wear fashion week and one of the most sought after destination fashion week in India for both, renowned designers and new talent alike. We have a mix of fashion shows and knowledge forums, like ‘Future Fashion Conclave’, and networking sessions, like ‘Sangria by the Sea’, to offer a wholesome experience to the attendees and participants.”

Over the previous three seasons, IBFW has hosted designers Wendell Rodricks, Neeta Lulla, Varun Bahl, Falguni & Shane Peacock, James Ferreira, and Rock S, among others. Models Candice Pinto, Deepti Gujral and Sucheta Sharma have also graced the show. Many debutant designers, who are selected through a meticulous process, have showcased their work here, mentored by some of the leading designers.

Jeep India is part of the fashion week this year. The festival will introduce a host of exciting functions, like a live music arena, and over 100 pop up stores. It aims to bring together the best minds in the fashion industry under one roof. The fashion week will also have a ‘Made in Goa’ showcase, which is designed to create a global platform for Goa-based designers, and textiles and handicraft artists.
