Gadkari meets Bal Thackeray

BJP’s newly appointed national president Nitin Gadkari paid a courtesy visit to saffron ally, Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray at the latter’s residence Matoshree in suburban Bandra on Monday.

Mr. Gadkari and Mr. Thackeray spoke for 15 minutes during the meeting. However, the details of the meeting is not known.

Mr. Gadkari told media that it was a courtesy visit and wanted to take blessings from Mr. Thackeray for his new innings as the party president.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha chief Shibu Soren, who would be forming a Government in Jharkhand by taking support from BJP, would be meeting Mr. Gadkari here at the party office.
