Fresh batch of pilgrims leave for Amarnath

A fresh batch of 1,558 pilgrims on Wednesday left the Jammu base camp for Amarnath cave shrine in South Kashmir Himalayas.

A convoy of 48 vehicles carrying 1,558 devotees left from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu at around 4.47 AM towards Amarnath.

The 14th batch of pilgrims includes 1,081 men, 375 women and 9 children.

With Wednesday’s batch, a total of 30,986 pilgrims have left for Amarnath from here so far.
