Four more cases of swine flu have been detected in Bihar prompting the state Health authorities to step up measures to check its further spread, Health Department sources said today.
Four persons whose swab samples tested positive for contacting H1N1 virus were being treated at the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH), the sources said.
Earlier, Bihar recorded 10 swine flu cases which were treated successfully, they said, adding another patient with H1N1 virus was admitted at the Nalanda Medical College Hospital (NMCH) here.
State Health Minister Nand Kishore Yadav, said his department had stepped up measures to check further spread of the disease.
“We are in the process of quipping isolated wards with sophisticated equipment, besides installing ventilators at all the medical college hospitals in Bihar.
“Special care is also being taken for arranging for medical examination of tourists who are expected to throng for the Sonepur cattle fair in the state in large numbers Their swab samples would be sent testing, he said.
