Former Rajasthan MLA passes away

Former Rajasthan MLA Hari Ram Chauhan died this morning here after a prolonged illness. He was 90.

Chauhan was admitted to a government hospital here few days back.

The funeral was held at his ancestral village in Alwar district, Rajendra Saiwal, a member of the state committee, CPI(M) said.

He was elected as the Member of the Rajasthan assembly in 1962.

CPI(M) leaders including Tara Singh Siddhu, Rameshwar Verma and others have expressed grief over the death of the party leader.
