As the Maharashtra police are yet to achieve any breakthrough in the probe into the killing of Govind Pansare, the forensic report has revealed that five bullets were fired from two revolvers at the Communist leader. The report also said the weapons used in the August, 2013 murder of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar were different from those used in the shooting of Mr. Pansare, police sources said.
Pansare and his wife Uma were repeatedly shot at outside their home in Kolhapur on February 16 while returning from a morning stroll.
