Five labourers working in a paper mill were killed after an explosion in a heavy machinery in Malerkotla in Punjab’s Sangrur district on Saturday.
A police official in Malerkotla said the labourers were working close to the heavy machinery which malfunctioned leading to the explosion.
A labourer was injured and has been hospitalised, he said, adding further investigations were on.
