A local court in Bihar on Friday ordered that an FIR be lodged against Bollywood singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya and jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali for their alleged twitter remarks after Salman Khan was awarded a five-year jail term in a 2002 hit-and-run case.

Khan, however, got temporary relief from the Mumbai High Court on Friday.

“Roads are meant for cars and dogs, not for people sleeping on them,” Abhijeet Bhattacharya allegedly tweeted on May 6. Farah Khan Ali sought to blame the homeless for the star’s plight, suggesting footpaths are not for sleeping.

Local advocate and social activist Sudhir Kumar Ojha had filed the complaint.
