A eleven-year-old boy was killed in a powerful bomb blast at a paddy field close to Lilong police station and 40 Assam Rifles’ camp early Saturday.

The bomb was allegedly planted by militants as security personnel including Assam Rifles personnel cross the area very frequently, police said.

Meanwhile, police and paramilitary forces are continuing mopping-up operations in all trouble-prone areas ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit.
