e-cigarettes seized in Gurgaon

A large variety of prohibited electronic cigarettes have been seized by the Haryana Food and Drug Administration (FDA) team during a raid at a paan shop at Amusement Hub, Kingdom of Dreams in Sector 29 here.

According to the FDA spokesman, these Chinese e-cigarettes contain poisonous nicotine ranging from 1.1 mg to 1.8 mg per ml. The FDA team has also recovered their cartridges containing 11 mg of fatal nicotine per cartridge.

He said the FDA has sent the samples for testing to ascertain the quantity of nicotine and other such poisonous substances. These were being openly sold at such elite place despite prohibition. The shop was being run and managed by Greenleaf Tradex Private Limited. The company director, Pawan Jain, couldn’t show any valid purchase records of these products, the spokesperson claimed.
