DU promises ragging-free campuses

: Delhi University promises ragging-free campuses to freshers when the new academic session starts this month.

On Friday, the university issued a circular regarding the assurance of safety of its students. A meeting was also held, where issues on ragging and sexual harassment were discussed.

Hostels and colleges have been asked to strictly enforce rules. It has been decided that a more vigilant approach will be adopted towards major laws such as Ordinance XV-B, XV-C and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013.
