Direct Haj flight service from Ranchi

Haj pilgrims from Jharkhand can now fly directly from Ranchi to Jeddah without the hassle of taking transit flights anymore.

The first such flight will take off on October 19 from the Birsa Munda airport here.

“The Centre has made available a direct flight to Jeddah from Ranchi for Haj pilgrims from the State. The first flight will take off on October 19 at 2:50 pm from the Birsa Munda Airport,” Union Minister for Food Processing and Industries Subodh Kant Sahay said in a release today.

He said 16 groups of pilgrims would travel between October 19 and November 3 and return between November 30 and December 16.
