Dhumal writes to Sonia on Virbhadra issue

January 07, 2014 02:46 am | Updated November 16, 2021 06:33 pm IST - SHIMLA:

The Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister, Prem Kumar Dhumal, on Monday wrote to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi on the alleged misdeeds of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and his tactics of misleading the Congress leadership and the people of Himachal Pradesh.

He alleged that the Chief Minister was deceiving his own party and the people.

With his four-page letter, Mr. Dhumal enclosed the letter he wrote to Mr. Virbhadra Singh, responding to his counter-allegations after his press conference on Sunday.

He said the Chief Minister should explain how suddenly apples worth crores of rupees were produced in his orchards for just three years and how they were transported on scooters and oil tankers; how insurance policies worth crores of rupees came abruptly in his and his family’s name and how he got crores of rupees in unsecured loans and shares were allotted to his family.
