Abu Saba, one of the two students of the Darul Uloom Deoband, who was shot at by miscreants in Muzaffarnagar on May 23 is out of danger. Mohammad Mubarik succumbed to injuries a day after the attack.

Mr. Saba was first operated upon to remove the bullets in his stomach and hips.

Mr. Saba’s mother said she was equally grateful to the Meerut-based Hindus and Muslims who helped save her son.

Miscreants tried to fan communal tension in the region by shooting at the Islamic Studies students in the Chapar area while they were returning from a mosque.
