“Decongest Mahipalpur”

August 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated March 29, 2016 06:00 pm IST - New Delhi:

With the Shiv Murti bypass project stuck in red tape, AAP’s Bijwasan MLA, Colonel Devender Sehrawat, has requested the Urban Development and Public Works Department to take up a de-congestion plan in the Mahipalpur area.

Delhi government officials inspected the area around the Delhi airport after Mr Sehrawat apprised them of the problems such as flooding and traffic jams. After the heavy rains on Sunday, some sectors of Vasant Kunj and Rangpuri Pahari are flooded even after four days. “There are no storm water drains in the area and the temporary small dam near the ridge was damaged long time ago. Because of that every monsoon, the area gets flooded,” he said.

A power point presentation on the condition of the roads and the traffic jams on NH-8 from Gurgaon to Palam flyoverwas given.
