Crorepati Akhilesh Yadav declares assets

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has declared his assets, which clearly underline his crorepati status.

In posting details of his assets and liabilities on the State Government website, he has sent a strong message to his Ministers that they should also do so.

The Chief Minister's assets total Rs. 4,83,11,601 and liabilities Rs. 15.90 lakh. He owns farm land in Etawah whose cost has been assessed at Rs. 17.53 lakh; a bungalow at 1-A Vikramaditya Marg, Lucknow (valued at Rs.41.63 lakh), which he shares with his wife Dimple Yadav; another property in Lucknow at 31/93 MG Road valued at Rs. 37.55 lakh; and a plot in Friends Colony valued at Rs. 2.11 lakh.

The Chief Minister owns a Pajero costing Rs. 20.16 lakh. He has invested Rs. 1.08 crore in Life Insurance schemes, Mutual Funds and ordinary insurance. Mr. Yadav has Rs. 97,923 in cash and Rs. 1,17,30,325 in bank deposits.

Mr. Yadav has loaned Rs. 1,37,29,181 to his Samajwadi Party and family members, including his wife and brother, Prateek Yadav.
