The Delhi High Court will on Tuesday take up for hearing an anticipatory bail petition filed by the former Haryana Minister, Gopal Goyal Kanda, in the Geetika Sharma suicide case.

The Delhi Police have issued a look-out notice for him. The investigating agency has booked him for allegedly criminally intimidating Geetika and abetting her in suicide.

Counsel for Mr. Kanda K.T.S. Tulsi on Monday mentioned the filing of the bail petition before a Division Bench of the court comprising Justice S.K. Kaul and Justice Vipin Sanghi and requested that the matter be listed for hearing before a Bench on Monday or Tuesday.

Later, the Bench directed the Registry to list the matter for Tuesday.

In his petition, Mr. Kanda submitted that he had no role in Geetika committing suicide as she was a hypersensitive and frustrated girl and the suicide was the consequence of an unsound mind.

He further submitted that there was no direct evidence against him for allegedly abetting in the suicide as a suicide note found at her residence in which she had allegedly attributed the extreme step she took to harassment by Mr. Kanda and one of his employees in his defunct airline MDLR could not be termed an unimpeachable evidence like the dying declaration.

Charges grave

A lower court on August 9 dismissed his anticipatory bail petition, observing that the charges against him were grave and serious and there was a likelihood of his putting hindrance in the way of the investigation of the case by him.

Geetika was earlier a flight attendant in MDLR. She was found hanging at her Ashok Vihar residence on August 5.

This guy need to be charged and fined for wasting police time, running away and
taking all his computers with him. Whaat is he hiding, much more then Geetika I
suspect.

It is sad to note that corporates enjoying huge financial assistance from our nationalised banks are too insensitive to their staff causing them to take extreme steps of ending life. In the name of so called development our government is ignoring masses and our PM feels pride in saying that we can not afford to give rotten food grains to poor and we cannot even assure RS 32 daily wages to each and every citizen of our country who is the owner of these natural resources.
GOVT SHOULD RECONSIDER THEIR ECONOMIC POLICIES IN THE LIGHT OF GANDHIAN IDEOLOGIES.

The fact that Kanda has chosen to remain absconding proves the murder charge against him. Hence shoot at sight warrant should be issued against him & his wanted photo with all possible modifications pasted across India.

This is a shame on all Indians. A minister incharge of the police is refusing to
come and meet the police! It is a law that you have to respond to the police. When
corruption, exploitation and even death is reported please do not sit and watch the
drama being enacted by these corrupt politicians and their lawyers / goons. Fake sim
cards, death of a young girl, casino in Goa, chappal merchant to 100 crores in
politics, ashram, university in himachal ING..!!!!!!

This ex minister Kanda must be caught and hanged without any trial. Such filthy characters are a disgrace. It is strange that the family allowed all this to happen to Geetika and now talking of honor.
