Congress may get LoP post in Maharashtra

NCP tipped to get the post in upper house

Senior Congress leader Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil is likely to become the next Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Maharashtra Assembly while NCP’s Member of Legislative Council Dhananjay Munde may get the post in the upper house of the State Legislature, reliable BJP sources told The Hindu .

Asked about the delay in announcing the names, a senior BJP Minister blamed it on “the race between the Congress and the NCP” for the post.
