October 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - Jaipur:

Three days after communal clashes rocked Sri Dungargarh and Bhilwara towns, a clash was reported in the Chippabarod area of Rajasthan’s Baran district.

On Monday night, a group beat up two persons from the Gujjar community in Chippabarod. One of the injured was rushed to the hospital.

The same night an FIR was lodged in the Chippabarod police station against members of the other community who were accused of beating up the Gujjar youths.

On Tuesday, the Gujjar Vikas Samiti called for a bandh, said circle officer of the Chippabarod police station, Mahendra Singh Bhati.

The protests from both communities forced the district administration to impose Section 144 and suspend Internet for 24 hours in Chippabarod, Mr. Bhati said.

Police personnel from Kota and Baran district have been deployed in Chippabarod to bring the situation under control.
