College clerk held for getting Baig fake voter ID

The Latur police have arrested Khurshid Alam, who is believed to have helped German Bakery blast accused Mirza Himayat Inayat Baig in procuring a fake election identity card and other documents.

Alam has been remanded in police custody till December 15. Superintendent of Police Stalin Babu confirmed the arrest made in Latur on Wednesday. Alam, who works as clerk in a D.Ed college in Latur, is suspected to have procured a genuine voter card and replaced the photo with that of Baig, while keeping other details therein.
