Cold wave continues in Himachal

December 09, 2013 02:04 am | Updated 02:04 am IST - Shimla:

The intense cold wave sweeping the hills and valleys of Himachal Pradesh continued unabated on Sunday as high altitude tribal areas and mountain passes had another spell of mild snowfall and icy winds swept the region.

High altitude tribal areas of Kinnaur, Lahaul and Spiti and Pangi received fresh snowfall while the Rohtang, Kunzam, Saach, Chansel and other high mountain passes also received snow. The snow was accompanied by high velocity icy winds which aggravated the cold wave conditions in adjoining valleys in non-tribal districts of Kullu and Kangra.
