Chouhan seeks early clearance of projects

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday sought to draw the Centre’s attention to some of the projects from the State that are pending environmental and other clearances from the Centre for a long time.

In a letter to the Union Environment Minister, Prakash Javadekar, the Chief Minister urged for early environmental clearance for the second stage of the 1,200 MW Shree Singaji thermal power station.

In another missive to Union Minister of State for Coal and Renewable Energy, Piyush Goyal, he urged for early approval for a Rs.2,100-crore project for upgrading and strengthening the power transmission system.
