The much-awaited two-day The Hindu Education Plus Career Fair 2010, presented by the VIT University, begins at Jayaram Thirumana Nilayam on Friday.

The fair is being organised to educate students on various higher studies options available after completing Class XII.

Over 20 stalls will be put up by engineering, medical, hotel management, arts and science institutions, business schools and animation schools from Puducherry, Chennai, Vellore and the surrounding areas.

Counselling on career options and seminars on employability and offbeat courses are on the cards.

The programme will also include a pre-counselling guidance programme for professional courses.

The highlight of the fair is a psychometric test, which will analyse skill, attitude and behaviour.

To take the test, students must register online at www.bodhi.co.in.

Not only those who have completed Class XII but also students from Class IX to Class XII, graduates interested in taking up higher studies or jobs, college students, and their parents can attend the fair.

All participants will receive a handbook titled ‘Carving your career.'

Entry is free.

The associate sponsor of the event is Surya Group of Institutions, and co-sponsors are Global Institute of Engineering and Technology and Image College of Arts, Animation and Technology.
