Businessman’s wife abducted, killed in Luchnow

According to the deceased’s autopsy report, there were no indications of sexual assault, a senior police officer said and added that there were also no signs of loot being committed by the culprits.

In yet another incident of crime against women in Uttar Pradesh, the 27-year old wife of a businessman was abducted and murdered in the industrial metropolis of Kanpur late on Sunday night. Her body with multiple stab wounds was found in her husband’s car near a railway track in Panki. The Honda Accord car (UP 78 BR 5009) was abandoned by the miscreants, police said. Three knives used for executing the crime were recovered from the vehicle. She was declared brought dead at the local Hallet Hospital.

According to the deceased’s autopsy report, there were no indications of sexual assault, a senior police officer said and added that there were also no signs of loot being committed by the culprits.

No arrests have been made and police teams have been constituted to track down the culprits. IG (Law and Order) Amrendra Kumar Sengar told journalists the areas bordering Kanpur are being patrolled.

The deceased’s husband, Piyush Shyam Dasani, is said to be the owner of a biscuit company and he had gone with his wife to a restaurant for dinner on Monday. In the complaint filed with the Pandunagar police station in Kakadeo, Mr. Dasani said when they were returning, his car was stopped by 7 to 8 goons on four motorcycles near the Company Bagh crossing and Rawatpur crossing at about 12.30 a.m. The complainant said while he was thrown out of the vehicle, the miscreants sped away in the car with his wife.

The IG said at around 1.30 a.m., the car was found abandoned near the Panki railway track with the injured woman. She was declared brought dead. Her post-mortem was conducted by a panel of five doctors. According to the post-mortem report, her body bore 14 stab wounds, including one between her fingers, and death was caused by excessive bleeding due to ante mortem injuries, he added
