Bureaucratic reshuffle in U.P.

Senior bureaucrat, Vijay Shanker Pandey, who was recently moved out of her secretariat by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mayawati and posted as Principal Secretary, Vocational Education was on Thursday dumped to Allahabad as Member (Judicial), Board of Revenue.

Postings in Board of Revenue as member, judicial in Allahabad are generally considered as punishment postings in UP’s administrative circles.

In fresh transfer orders issued on Thursday, the Principal Secretary, Technical Education, Vrinda Swaroop has been given the additional charge of vocational education.

A senior IPS officer, Jasveer Singh Rana, who was posted as DIG ( Information), was shunted out as DIG (Training). Mr. Rana was considered close to Mr. Pandey when the latter ruled the roost as Additional Cabinet Secretary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Principal Secretary, Information. The post of DIG ( (Information) was created to adjust Mr. Rana.

Among the transfers of Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers, the Special Secretary ( Finance), Ajay Kumar Upadhyaya—Second was posted as Additional Commissioner, Devi Patan Division and the Special Secretary ( Information ), Shiv Shyam Mishra was sent as Additional Commissioner of Chitrakoot Dham Division.
