Budget session extended

: The budget session, which was to be adjourned sine die on Tuesday, has been extended till Match 16. Announcing this in the Assembly, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh said that this is to enable the House to pass the Bill on the Inner Line Permit system in Manipur. The next sitting will be resumed on March 13.

There have been demands for an Act which will regulate the entry and settlement of the migrant workers in Manipur. The Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System had already announced a protest against the government failure to pass the Bill on Monday.
