BSF jawan on vacation shot dead

Suspected militants killed a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan inside his house on Wednesday night.

The incident took place in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, around 40 km from here.

A police official told The Hindu that Rameez Ahmad Parray, the jawan who was posted in Rajasthan, was shot at by three to four militants who barged into his house at Bandipora’s Hajin area. Parray died of bullet wounds later.

He had come home on vacation, said the police.
