Shiv Sena, the BJP's estranged partner which has decided to sit in the Opposition and vote against the newly-elected Devendra Fadnavis Government in Maharashtra during the floor test in the State Assembly on Wednesday, will vote for the BJP's Speaker candidate Haribhau Bagde.

With both the Shiv Sena and the Congress withdrawing their respective candidates for the election to the Speaker's post, Mr. Bagde is all set to be unanimously voted as the Assembly Speaker.

While the Shiv Sena had fielded Vijay Auti, the Congress had nominated Varsha Gaikwad for the Speaker's post.
