BJP protests against price rise

The BJP on Saturday hit the streets of the city to protest against the rise in prices of essential commodities and alleged the state government of failing to check the same.

Senior BJP leaders Mohammad Ashraf Azad and Sofi Mohammad Yousuf led the procession from Municipal Park to Pratap Park.

Azad told reporters that his party has decided to continue the protests till the government takes measures to control the price rise.

Life of people here has become miserable due to increase in prices of essential commodities, he said.
