The BJP on Monday wrote to the Election Commission opposing the inauguration of two major flyovers in Mumbai, saying the Congress would reap undue credit for it. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority will throw open the Santacruz-Chembur Link Road (SCLR) and the Amar Mahal junction flyovers to the public by the end of this week.
Calling it a political stunt, BJP leader Ashish Shelar dashed off a letter to the Commission claiming that the projects took over a decade to complete but the State government was in a hurry to inaugurate those just days before the election.
