The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday denied interference of its Goa government in the Devu Chodankar facebook post case.

Spokesperson of BJP and MLA Pramod Sawant, who addressed a press conference on Sunday, said the case was a private complaint and it was up to the Police to decide the manner and course of investigation in the case.

Criticising the Opposition for targeting the Goa government, Mr. Sawant alleged that the accused was in Mumbai and his blog-post were operated by someone from Goa.

The same people are worried he will reveal this name during investigation and were protesting to avert that, he said.
