The Bihar assembly proceedings were disrupted Thursday by the opposition BJP which demanded CBI probe into the Patna serial blasts ahead of its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s rally Oct 27.
The assembly was adjourned till 2.30 p.m. after the ruckus in the morning.
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nand Kishore Yadav said: “We are demanding a CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) probe into security lapses that led to the serial blasts.”
He blamed the state government for the blasts Oct 27 at the Patna railway station and the Gandhi Maidan where Mr. Modi’s rally was later held that day.
“Terrorists were deliberately provided opportunity to trigger blasts,” he claimed.
At least six people were killed and nearly 100 injured in the serial blasts in Patna.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is probing into the Patna serial blasts. Some suspects, including accused Mohammad Imtiaz Ansari, have been arrested.

Will bring no trust motion after having numbers: BJP
Meanwhile, a day after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar dared BJP to bring a no confidence motion against his government to remove it from power, the saffron party on Thursday said it would do so after having the desired numbers.
“We do not have the desired numbers. When we will have that numbers we will definitely bring a motion to bring down the government,” Leader of Opposition Nand Kishore Yadav told reporters in his Assembly chamber.
While replying to a debate on terrorism and law and order in the state last evening, Mr. Kumar attacked his former NDA ally for disrupting both Houses of Bihar Legislature and dared it to bring a no confidence motion against his government.
Mr. Yadav, who was Road Construction Department minister in the NDA government, said Kumar’s confidence was due to the“expertise” he had developed to “manage” numbers to save his government.
“That is why he has been oscillating between Congress and the Third Front partners,” he said.
The Nitish Kumar government won confidence vote after split in the NDA with the help of four Congress MLAs, as many Independents and the lone CPI legislator in the House. BJP had staged a walkout during confidence vote on June 19.
The opposition leader charged Mr. Kumar with “sacrificing governance” by keeping himself busy with “winning support of Independents on the basis of money power and luring them with ministerial post and trying to engineer defection in RJD and other parties.”
Asked if BJP and RJD had worked out an understanding as both the parties are seen together in the Well of the Assembly protesting against the Kumar government, Mr. Yadav said he did contact RJD Legislature party leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui for strengthening opposition unity but the call was not attended.
Mr. Yadav also pointed to the letter Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde wrote to the CM saying Bihar was “soft” on naxals said this vindicated BJP charge against the Kumar ministry.
