Negligence leads to Bihar mid-day meal tragedy

It is a sad tale of over 20 children losing their lives and another two dozen or so falling sick after eating their free lunch at a primary school in Bihar. While the government mid-day meal scheme in schools is such an essential component to meet the nutrition needs of thousands of children across the country, this is clearly a case of downright negligence on part of the local administration that needs strict action. The photograph captures the despair that arises out of such an incident even as the camera holds its lens on a meal being served to a bunch of school children in Bodh Gaya.
